London’s life-saving Christmas 2024 Raffle Terms & Conditions

General Rules

  • This Raffle is only open to residents of Great Britain over the age of 18 (this excludes Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and Ireland according to Gambling Act 2005 regulations).
  • No tickets can be sold to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 18 years.
  • The cost of each entry is £1 and payment must be in advance.
  • To ensure responsible gambling, the maximum amount of tickets available to purchase is £60 value in both postal and online. If someone requests more raffle tickets, this will be considered on a case by case basis.
  • Postal entries must be received by 24 December 2024.
  • Late entries will be treated as donations to London’s Air Ambulance Charity.
  • The draw will be held on 10 January 2025.
  • If a ticket is sold unknowingly to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 18 they will be exempt from the raffle and will forfeit their prize and the stake will be returned.
  • Net proceeds from this raffle will be used for the charitable purposes of London’s Air Ambulance Charity.
  • The prizes for the Raffle are as follows. There are no alternatives to any prize.
    • 1st prize: £3,000 cash
    • 2nd prize: £500 cash
    • 3rd prize: £250 cash
    • 4th-11th prize: £100 cash
    • Runners Up: 50 x £20 M&S vouchers, 20 x £10 M&S vouchers
  • We operate a combined online/offline draw ensuring that each entrant has an equal chance of winning each prize.
  • The draw will be conducted by utilising a Random Number Generator that has been tested and approved by an independent, Gambling Commission approved, third party test house in combination with a blind draw in plain sight of staff. The results of the draw are final.
  • Based upon the number of entries in our 2023 Raffles, the chance of winning a prize for a single ticket was 1 in 550.
  • From the £63,684 income of all tickets sold in the raffle in 2023, just 37.4% went on expenses, 8.90% on prizes and a fantastic 53.71% came back to London's Air Ambulance Charity to fund our life-saving work.
  • Winners will be notified by post, email or telephone no later than 21 days after the draw date. Please keep your ticket number as proof of purchase.
  • Prizes will be paid by BACS transfer.
  • A list of winners will also be published on the Raffleplayer website two weeks of the draw date. These will only be in summary, for example Mrs Smith from Berkshire.
  • Winners may be asked to take part in London’s Air Ambulance Charity’s PR and promotional activity.
  • If a prize is unclaimed after reasonable efforts have been made by London’s Air Ambulance Charity to contact the winner, then London’s Air Ambulance. Charity will be entitled to dispose of the prize as it thinks fit.
  • Winners will have 6 months from when we first contacted them to claim their prize, before this is deemed a donation to the charity.  
  • London’s Air Ambulance Charity reserves the right without notice or reason to cancel or refuse entry to the Raffle. London’s Air Ambulance Charity’s decision on all matters affecting the draw is final and legally binding. No correspondence regarding the results of the draw will be entered into.

Online entries

  • To enter the online raffle an entrant must self-certify that they are the required age to play (18+). A confirmation email will be sent to the entrant confirming their numbers in the draw and thanking them for their participation. Random age verification checks are carried out at regular intervals. If an entrant is found to be under the required age their payment will be returned and they will not be entered into the draw.
  • Entries must not be bought on behalf of somebody else.
  • Material changes to this raffle are not predicted to happen, but in the event that this occurs you will be notified by email 14 days in advance of any changes.
  • Gift Aid can only be claimed against additional donations and not on raffle play.

  • London’s Air Ambulance Charity staff and their families are excluded from playing the Raffle, including Trustees. The Raffles Operators (e.g. CFP Lottery & Raffles Limited) employees are excluded from playing the Raffle.

  • Playing our raffle should be a fun way of helping our Charity. If gambling stops being fun and you feel that you need any help, advice or support you should visit gambleaware.org, or call the National Gambling Helpline for free on 0808 8020 133 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 
  • London’s Air Ambulance Charity complies with the Licence Conditions and Code of Practice governing the procedures for self-exclusion. We will take all reasonable steps to prevent an individual who has entered a self-exclusion agreement with ourselves from participating in our raffle or lottery. 
  • Any complaints relating to the raffle should be sent in writing  FAO The Supporter Care Team, London’s Air Ambulance Charity, 5th Floor, Mansell Street, London E1 8AN, by email at supportercare@londonsairambulance.org.uk or by phone on 020 3023 3319 between the hours of 9am-5pm. If you call outside of these hours, please leave a voicemail message and we will respond the following day. If you are contacting us by email or post, please ensure that you provide your full name and contact details alongside your complaint so that we can investigate and follow up thoroughly.
  • Complaints will be handled in line with London’s Air Ambulance Charity complaints procedure. This is available online here.
  • By entering the raffle, you consent to us using your personal data for the purposes of the raffle and to help us develop a better understanding of our supporters.
