This garden requires transformative work to make it accessible for patients with limited mobility, such as those receiving intensive or palliative care. Patients will be able to safely spend time with their loved ones, away from the medical environment, surrounded by nature.

A similar garden at Frimley Park hospital has enabled difficult conversations to be had away from the stresses of ward life. Providing a space for family and friends to gather with the patient in the private garden room and spend that special time together.

A relative of a patient who used a similar garden at Frimley Park’s Time Garden said: “You made the worst time of our lives, so much more bearable”.
