About Us

We’re AFK – a charity that supports disabled and autistic children and young people to be independent and live their best life.

We’re here for anyone up to the age of 25 across the UK who needs a specialist piece of mobility equipment, whether that’s a powerchair so they’re able to get to school, an adapted car seat to give extra cushioned support, or a sports wheelchair so they can play basketball.

In North London we work with schools and colleges to introduce disabled and autistic young people to the world of work and to support them into paid employment, working with our Job Coaches on interview techniques and travel training. Each young person needs tailored support and we ensure they are helped every step of the way.
